 NEHRU CARICATURE - SPARE ME NOT - 128th birth anniversary


Petals Globe Foundation in association with MN foundation has organised an exhibition of caricatures in connection with the 128th birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime minister of India. This exhibition was conceptualized and curated by Cartoonman Badusha, eminent caricaturist and Vice Chairman of Kerala Cartoon Academy and organised by Sanu Sathyan, Chief Co-ordinator of Petals Globe Foundation.

This exhibition portrayed 128 caricatures on Nehru. The theme is based on Nehru's words to the greatest Political cartoonist India has ever witnessed, Cartoonist Shankar. The words were " Don't spare me", Nehru, the then Prime Minister's attitude towards satires and criticism is very evident in these famous words.

14th November, the birthday of Nehru is celebrated as the Children's day in India, hence Petals Globe Foundation, an organization committed for the development and upliftment of children has initiated this event.

The exhibition was inaugurated by renowned children's writer and publisher Venu Varyath on 14th November at Kerala History Museum, Edappally, Kochi.
