PETALS GLOBE FOUNDATION, an NGO serving for the benefit of children conducted a special Fun N Learn programme, titled REFRESHING YOUNG MINDS meant for refreshing the young minds reducing the trauma in association with FEDERAL BANK CSR DIVISION.

As we were passing through Kerala’s most devastating natural disaster happened in 100 years, great efforts are executed to overcome the tragedy and rebuild Kerala. As we know, the water disappeared, Houses & Schools are getting rebuilt and School buses & other vehicles got repaired. But, one of the challenges left out is that, Who and how the Scarred Mind of Children would get repaired ?

REFRESHING YOUNG MINDS, a training session sharing knowledge, Building Hope & Confidence. Counseling sessions were also conducted where in Psychologists got along with the young minds as friends to help them to come out of the trauma.

This Fun N Learn programme was designed to reduce the trauma of the flood affected children and rebuild confidence and good hope in them. The program was flagged off by the Honourable Hon. District Judge and Member Secretary KELSA , Shri. K. Sathyan in the presence of Raju Hormis, Head of CSR Division, Federal Bank and young film star Sanju Sivaram.   
      
The lead faculty members were  Jiju Thomas,Cartoonman Badusha, Dr.Anuroop Kumar, Sija S., Alice Poulose, Asha Ashrof, Jiji Varghese and Sanu Sathyan, Co-ordinator of Petals Globe and it was started at Standard Pottery Workers Govt LPS & High School, Choornnikkara and further extended many schools in the Aluva Region, where the Flood was so badly affected.

An ART BOOK specially designed for the refreshing programme was released by Hon. District Judge & Member Secretary KELSA , Shri K. Sathyan.  The art book was distributed to all of the participating children.The programme was presided over by Beena Ali, Vice President of Choornnikkara Grama Panchayath and Head Mistress of High School Maya K P and Head Master Johny Kuriakkose delivered felicitation speeches.
